By promoting and supporting the work of Asia Experts who identify as Black or African-American, we offer a concrete way to address explicit and implicit racial bias in public and professional perceptions of Asia expertise.
Our platform offers a comprehensive, free database of Black and African-American experts specializing in Asia and the broader Indo-Pacific region. Designed for media professionals, event organizers, and recruiters, this resource provides direct access to contact information for a wide range of experts.
The database is continually updated with profiles of new experts who join the NABEA community, ensuring a rich and ever-evolving roster of professionals. With each visit, you'll discover an expanded array of names and areas of expertise.
NABEA DATABASE
Our database features 200+ researchers, academic scholars, ambassadors, diplomats, private sector, and nonprofit leaders who have distinguished themselves in their specific fields of expertise related to Asia. Click on the name to expand each expert's full profile.

Select the Filter option.
Click on “Add a condition.”
Choose a category to filter by, such as “geographic expertise.”
Enter the value you want to search for, for example, “China.”
The database will now display only those with geographic expertise in China.

Click on the Sort option.
You can rearrange the database based on specific data, such as sorting by first name A-Z or listing those with Security topical expertise first.

Click on the magnifying glass icon located at the top right-hand side of the database.
Type in your search term and hit Enter.
Any profiles related to that search term will appear in the database.
