The October Chinese Language Group session will be led by Ashley Rudianne, Chelsea Anglin, Jordan Giles, and Raven Witherspoon. They will welcome Yangyang Chen, an award-winning writer and interdisciplinary scholar.
She is a Senior Fellow at Asia Society’s Center on U.S.-China Relations, an editor at the Made in China Journal, and host to several podcasts.
Born and raised in China, Yangyang trained as a particle physicist, earning her PhD from the University of Chicago and working on the Large Hadron Collider for more than a decade.
In this session, she will join NABEA members to talk about how language can become a home, especially for those who live and work across cultures.
