Career Pathways in Asia: Panel & Mixer

  • Georgetown University (International Cultural Center, Asian Studies Conference Room, 302-P) 3700 O Street Northwest Washington, DC, 20057 United States (map)

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Career Pathways in Asia: Panel & Mixer, an enlightening evening that bridged the gap between seasoned professionals from NABEA and students in Georgetown University's MA in Asian Studies (MASIA) program.

The event began with a panel offering MASIA students and NABEA members valuable insights into the diverse career opportunities available to individuals with expertise in Asian markets and cultures. Panelists included Tabatha Anderson, China Intelligence Specialist at Strider Technologies; Tyrell Walker, Foreign Service Officer at the U.S. State Department; and Danny Evans, Founder & CEO at Millenium Envoys.

Following the panel, attendees connected with these industry leaders and mid-level professionals from government, private sector, academia, arts, culture, and nonprofit sectors. They shared their experiences and career paths related to working with or in Asia during a lively mixer, expanding their professional networks and exploring potential career trajectories in a casual, supportive environment. Drinks were provided, making it a perfect setting for fostering meaningful conversations and new connections

This event was co-hosted with Georgetown University Walsh School of Foreign Service Masters in Asian Studies program.
