Brandy Darling is an Associate at The Asia Group, where she supports clients across a broad range of industries to navigate China’s political and regulatory landscape and the broader U.S.-China geopolitical environment. At NABEA, she channels her extensive international experience into coordinating impactful networking events that connect members across the U.S. and Asia.
With extensive experience in China, Brandy speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese and has immersed herself in the country’s culture through multiple visits. She previously interned at the African Chamber of Commerce in China, where she conducted research on the economic impacts of African students in China, with her work published by the Chamber
Brandy holds a MA in International Relations from the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University and a Certificate in Chinese and American Studies from the Hopkins-Nanjing Center. She also earned a BA in Economics and East Asian Studies from Connecticut College, where her research focused on Sino-African relations.
In her free time, Brandy enjoys watching the NFL, Formula 1 racing, and exploring new happy hour spots in Washington, D.C.
