Moorea Bell

Moorea Bell is a recent graduate of Middlebury College with a major in Chinese Studies and a minor in Spanish Studies. She brings a profound passion for cross-cultural communication and international development to her role at NABEA. With a focus on marketing and communications, Moorea is instrumental in furthering NABEA’s mission to enhance Black representation in U.S.-Asia relations.
Her interest in Asia began with Chinese language classes in elementary school and was enriched by a transformative study abroad experience at National Taiwan University. Since then, Moorea’s academic and professional pursuits have focused on the nuanced cultural, economic and social dynamics among the U.S., China and Africa. During her undergraduate studies, Moorea conducted research on language policy for ethnic minority groups in China and analyzed the impact of Chinese investment into Nigeria.
Prior to NABEA, Moorea has contributed to Taiwan News and Jin Jin Studios, where she developed bilingual content and researched topics at the intersection of culture and society. In her work, Moorea is dedicated to promoting diverse voices in international relations and looks forward to further advancing NABEA’s mission of inclusivity.
In her free time, you can find Moorea exploring new languages or weightlifting at her local gym.
