The National Association for Black Engagement with Asia (NABEA), in partnership with the Korea Foundation USA and Morgan State University, invites you to a day dedicated to Hangeul, the Korean alphabet, and the history behind it.

The program will open with welcome remarks from the Korea Foundation, NABEA leadership, and Professor Joonwoo Moon, followed by a short lecture on how Hangeul was created and why.

NABEA members who have studied Korean before will then share their own learning journeys: what worked, what didn't, and how the language has opened doors for them personally and professionally.

Morgan State students will put Hangeul into practice with a Learn Hangeul Challenge and a calligraphy session, where everyone writes out their name in Korean.

The program will close with a shared meal, giving attendees a chance to keep the conversation going and connect with one another.

This event will only be open to Morgan State University students.
